It was reported that a car and a truck were involved in the incident and traffic guidance was being carried out. The accident was first reported at around 12.50 am.
A spokesman for National Highways said: " The A34 in Oxfordshire is closed northbound Dec the A420 ( Botley Roundabout near Oxford ) and the A44 (Peartree Roundabout) due to a collision between a car and a lorry. National Highways Traffic Officers will also assist with traffic management at the scene."

Traffic data company Inrix said: "The A34 Northbound was in a queue of traffic due to an accident, a car and a lorry were involved on the A420 (Botley Interchange, Botley) to the A44 Woodstock Road (Wolvercote).
