June pays for the first 19 days of the strike, which began in June, more than 6,000 hearings were disrupted due to government rates paid to defend people who have no legal representation.
Members of the Criminal Bar Association (CBA) voted to escalate the action, which initially began with a two-day strike, after ministers refused to negotiate over their demands.
Justice secretary Dominic Raab did not meet with the group and the government did not signal any change in its position following the announcement on Monday morning.
Ministry of Justice figures show that for every full working week that criminal lawyers strike, about 1,300 cases will be disrupted, including 300 cases.
